Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.  Claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by claiming all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions.  Please retain a copy for your information.
 

  1. This promotion is open to residents of the UK who are aged 18 years and over excluding employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, its agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
     
  2. Promotional Period: The promotion will begin at 00:01 GMT on 3 May 2022 and will close at 23.59 GMT on 2 August 2022. Final date for receipt of claims is 23.59 GMT on 16 August 2022. Any claim received outside these dates will not be refunded.
     
  3. Internet access, UK bank account and valid email address required. Retain receipt showing date of purchase during the Promotional Period and prior to date of claim.
     
  4. Claim instructions. To request your money back visit tryforfree.vfcfoods.com and:
  • Purchase VFC Original Recipe Vegan Fried Chicken Fillets (220g), Vegan Fried Chicken Popcorn (250g) or Vegan Fried Chicken Bites (275g)
  • Enter your full name, email address, postal address, purchase date, purchase price and retailer purchased
  • Enter your preferred payment method (BACS or PayPal) and UK bank account details (if required)
  • Upload a photograph of an original till receipt clearly showing the retailer purchased, the date purchased and a qualifying Product
  • Confirm you are over 18 years of age
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions
  • Claimants will receive a confirmation email via the email address provided when claiming to confirm receipt of their claim. All claims will be verified, and claimants will then be notified via email within 14 days if they’re claim has been accepted.  
     
  1. A maximum of one claim is permitted per person/email/address and max one claim per household.
     
  2. You must make your claim using your full legal name. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any  claimant who uses multiple names or any false names and to require them to return to the Promoter any refund awarded.
     
  3. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for claims delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
     
  4. Claim value: the maximum claim value is the price paid as per the receipt submitted and, in any case, no higher than the amount identified in clause 11.
     
  5. Claims will be paid via Bank Transfer or via PayPal to the account associated with the email address used to enter.
     
  6. Bank Transfer or PayPal payment will be processed within 28 days of claims being received and the completion of any verification process. It is the responsibility of the claimant to provide correct, up-to-date details when claiming. The Promoter is not responsible for incorrect payments where the details provided were incorrect. Payments cannot be reversed once they have been processed. No replacement payments will be granted. The Promoter is not responsible for system errors or other issues that may result in disruption while the claimant is on the PayPal platform.

  1. Qualifying Retailers. Products must be purchased from one of the following retailers instore or online at retailer website:
    • Tesco, Sainsbury’s or Vegan Kind (Vegan Kind is online only)
    • All products are subject to availability
       
  2. For the avoidance of doubt, if more than the permitted number of claims are received from the same person or address, all such claims and any associated claims from their household will be disqualified. Claims (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete, misdirected, jnvalid or illegible claims, or via third parties or syndicates, claims by macros or other automated means and claims which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms and Conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is attempting to circumvent this condition by, for example, using identities other than their own or automated means, their claim will be void.
     
  3. If fulfilment or any element of this promotion is delayed or affected due to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic and resulting Government restrictions, any affected claimants will be contacted by the Promoter and kept updated of any unavoidable changes to the promotion.
     
  4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all claims including but not limited to asking for proof of purchase, address and ID (passport, driving licence or equivalent). The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any claim or withdraw refund entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the promotion, any instructions forming part of this promotion’s claim requirements or otherwise where a participant has claimed using fraudulent means.
     
  5. Data Protection: The personal data provided by claimants to the Promoter will only be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the promotion. Claimant personal details will at all times be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at http://tryforfree.vfcfoods.com/privacy-policy). From time to time, the Promoter may share claimants’ personal data with their agents/representatives to assist with administering the promotion, contacting claimants and claim fulfilment (as necessary). Claimants can request access to their personal data, or have any inaccuracies rectified, by sending an email to vfc@promotioncustomerservices.com
    By participating in the promotion, claimants agree to the use of their personal data as described here. Data will be stored for three months after final claim date before deletion.
     
  6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.
     
  7. Where a claimant (i) has not completed fully; or (ii) has been found to be in breach of any of the Terms and Conditions of this promotion the Promoter may enforce its right to disqualify that person and require the return or reimbursement to us of any refund even where a refund has already been awarded and/or actually provided to the claimant or awarded to the claimant in question.
     
  8. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned due to events outside of the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries (this includes, without limitation, by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion). If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
     
  9. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
     
  10. The Promoters decision in all promotional matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
     
  11. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
     
  12. Claimants’ statutory rights are not affected.
     

The Promotion and these Terms (including any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of them) are subject to English law.  Any disputes must be referred to the English and Welsh courts.  Consumers in Scotland and Northern Ireland may additionally bring an action in their home courts.
